I was recently asked to do the Christmas photo shoot for Velvet Magazine, so I jumped at the chance!
I love fashion work when I can…so to start the action I contacted 12a Members bar in Cambridge. I knew this would make the perfect location for a Christmas party theme!
On the day the girls started with hair and make-up, while I set up the lighting and had a good look around for potential sets. Velvet’s writer Georgie had collected a full rail of clothes/shoes and bags, so we went through the all the outfits and match up items that were best suited. From there I got a running order for the shoot. In total, we shot 22 outfits, from a range of local stores and boutiques, including Curious Orange, Ted Baker & John Lewis.
Models Gabbie Ghelani and Louis Nixon worked amazing togethe. I’m really pleased they both agreed to work with me for the day, they both are very professional and good at taking direction. Which is great, as I was able to change styles very quickly!
We were on set for a non-stop 5hrs, everyone worked so hard getting everything done as quickly as possible…its was a fun photo shoot and it was great to see the finished article in the magazine!
